Thanks to two gas engines, a hybrid powertrain, and a plug-in hybrid system, there are several options for Onawa motorists.

Fuel economy ratings for hybrid models are 44 miles per gallon on city streets in Denison and 37 miles per gallon on rural Iowa highways. Gas models earn 28/34 (city/highway) miles per gallon. The Plug-In Hybrid models drive 37 miles on electric power before switching over to hybrid-electric power and earning a 100 MPGe rating. These PHEVs rely on a 14.4-kWh battery which can recharge in under four hours.

• Hybrid: 2.5-liter inline-4 iVCT Atkinson w/ 88-kW electric motor: 200 horsepower, 155 pound-feet of torque, 44/37 (city/highway) miles per gallon
• PHEV: 2.5-liter inline-4 w/ 88-kW electric motor: 200 horsepower, 155 pound-feet of torque, 100 MPGe

Design
