Don't Forget to Change Your Oil

There are plenty of great Ford models to choose from, such as the Ford Fusion, Ford F-150, or the Ford Explorer. No matter which Ford you choose, there's one thing we know for sure: there's oil in its engine. Oil is vital to the well-being of your vehicle, which is why it's so important to have regular oil changes. What exactly does oil do? We're glad you asked.

As your engine runs, all of its moving parts rub together, which produces friction and heat. Without oil, this would cause the parts to quickly wear down, and it would cause your engine to overheat as well. Oil reduces the friction those parts generate, and it carries away the heat as well. Fresh engine oil keeps your engine running like a dream. Sadly, nothing lasts forever, and your engine oil gradually degrades over time. If you ignore it for too long, it becomes less effective at lubricating your engine, and can even clog your engine instead. In order to keep that from happening, you should change your oil roughly every six months, or every 7,500 miles, whichever comes first. Schedule an appointment with our service center, and we'll have your oil changed in no time.
